Port Macquarie is more than a postcard‑perfect coastline – it’s a community that celebrates life’s moments with colour. Whether you’re cheering on a friend finishing the Coastal Walk, welcoming a new baby at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, or sending strength across the Hastings, Lily’s Florist turns your feelings into flowers the same day you ask.
It's a big claim, but it's true!
Our totally awesome staff were awarded a Feefo Trusted Service Award. The award is handed out to businesses, that are partnered with Feefo, that achieve at least 50 real customer reviews over a 12 month period. Is there a catch? Sure is, you have to get at least a 4 star minimum service rating to qualify. Not only did we beat the 50 reviews, we crushed them, with over 2,100 reviews with either a 4 or 5 star rating, which is a mammoth task given the complexities of anything or any product requires same day delivery.
Here is a new and shiny badge!
(All best‑sellers carry 4.5‑star averages from 200+ reviews.)
With the right care, your or their Lily’s Florist bouquet should stay vibrant for 7–10 days.

Well, it's kind of a cool yarn, if I don't say so myself. My name is Siobhan, my partner and I, Andrew, started Lily's Florist in 2009, by today's current date, that is 17 years ago, and what a ride it has been - for a full and in depth version of this story you can read in on our about us page. Until very recently, for some odd reason that I cannot even explain, I have been reluctant to share the story of how our business evolved, and 2009 wasn't even the beginning. The reason for the about face is that, we were both sitting down at dinner a few months ago, with the kids Ivy & Asha, thinking about the claim we have plastered all over our website, Australian owned and operated is one of them, and family run is the other. But what do those statements actually mean without backing them up and putting faces to those claims. So we both decided to do something about it, start to shout it out more, because when you order flowers from Lily's Florist, you really are ordering from a business run by and Mum and Dad, and hopefully Asha soon as she is about to graduate year 12, and we think that has value. We don't have meetings, a hoard of lawyers, an offshore call centre, and a team of marketing gurus. No, it's just the two of us, and maybe 3 soon, who make all the decisions - good and not so good.
Interestingly, the story didn't begin in 2009, it actually began with an idea in late 2005. To get out of the rat race of Sydney, to start a new life with the view to starting a family, with a goal of moving to a regional NSW town and either buy and existing business or start one in gifting, baby product and generally organic food and skin care.
I won't bore you with the immense detail, as all of it is covered in the page I linked to about, but we ended up buying a florist and gift in Kingscliff in Northern NSW called Kingscliff Flower Shop. The thought was to scale back the flowers a bit, as we were not florists, and push organics and the gifting side of the business. But we kept getting calls for flowers, and loads of them, every day, 7 days a week. Puzzled by so many calls, and almost annoyed at times, we ended up finding out that the previous owner had taken out a Yellow Pages ad, like the book, well hey, that explained all the phone calls.
Speaking of calls, we would get a large amount for our local area, but also other areas just like Port Macquarie, before most florists went online, this was one way how you could send flowers to an area outside where you lived. We would roughly get 20 requests for flowers to Port Macquarie per month. It then it dawned on us, what if we found a florist in Port Macquarie, told the who we are and what we do, and asked them if they could help us with our flower deliveries - in this case it was Kathy from Kathy's Creative Flowers. She was of our founding florist partners right back, even before Lily's Florist, from about 2008. In fact, this very page was built in 2009 for us to send flowers to her.
In fact, my Grandma used to live in Port Macquarie, who we would visit a few times a year, so the town has a very special place in our hearts. To this day, Port Macquarie is still one of our biggest flower delivery areas in terms of volume, despite since 2009, now partnering with over 800 florists now all throughout Australia!
